This is the Championship Round version of the robot. The front bumpers and egg collection funnel were removed in a last-minute attempt to make it a nest-beacon blocker. LEGO "oars" were also added around the perimeter. See the Fall 2002 Egg Hunt video for details.

Team 2: Stone Donkey

The tombstone sign on the back of the robot laments the midterm withdrawal of the 3rd member of their group.

The bottom view shows the unique (but unreliable) universal joint- based geartrain. Justin says, "There's a good reason why nobody ever tried this before."

For the story of Dobby and the sock, see the Fall 2002 Egg Hunt video.

Team 5: Legend

Also nicknamed 7:00 AM Special because it was completely rebuilt during the final Marathon Extra Session and not finished until 7:00 AM the next morning. Against all odds, this robot was very successful, and was the major reason that Legend won the Fall 2002 Egg Hunt.
